Riftbound Graded Cards: PSA Populations, Gem Rates & Premiums (September 2026)

Live PSA, BGS and CGC population data for Riftbound: 36,216 PSA slabs, an 86.7% PSA 10 rate, about 2,200 new slabs a week, and all five top PSA 10 prices down since August.

Riftbound — the League of Legends TCG by Riot Games — has 36,216 cards in PSA holders, 8,668 in BGS and 2,169 in CGC, across the 222 distinct graded entities Cardlogs tracks population for, as of September 23, 2026. According to Cardlogs population data, 86.7% of PSA-graded Riftbound cards come back a PSA 10, and about 2,200 new PSA slabs entered the population in the last week alone. This is the September edition of the first published population report for the game.

What changed since the August edition

The first edition, on August 4, called the young graded market "a queue, not scarcity." The August 27 edition checked that against prices and found four of the five most valuable PSA 10s flat or down. Four weeks later all five are down, by 8% to 29%:

Over the same four weeks the PSA population of the cards we tracked on both dates grew 30.7%. Baron Nashor shows the mechanism on one card: its PSA 10 count went from 262 on August 26 to 354 on September 8, up 35% in thirteen days, and its PSA 10 price fell 22%.

Three other things changed, and two of them are corrections:

• One August finding did not hold. We wrote that the scarcest slabs carry the lowest premiums. On a sample almost twice as large, cards with fewer than 50 PSA 10s now carry the highest median multiple. Details in the premium section.
• Three premiums were not what they looked like. Three cards would have led this edition's premium table at up to 42x. In each case the PSA 10 sales behind the price were sales of a different printing of the card. A new screen removes them, below.
• Our per-grade data stopped updating on September 8. Since then the total PSA count for each card has kept rising in our feed while the PSA 10 count has not moved on any card. So every gem rate in this edition is as of September 8, and every total is as of September 23. Read on its own, today's data would show a gem rate of 74.9%. That is our data gap, not Riftbound's cards.

How many Riftbound cards have been graded?

47,054 across PSA, BGS, CGC and SGC as of September 23, 2026, up from 33,518 in the August 26 read. The split:

PSA's share grew from 73% to 77%. BGS added 1,320 slabs in the month and PSA 11,601.

Against the other games Cardlogs tracks, Riftbound's graded market is still small:

Riftbound's PSA population is 2.1% of One Piece's and 0.15% of vintage Pokemon's. The other three games were read on September 21, 2026, Riftbound on September 23; all four use the same counting method, described at the end of this article.

What is the PSA 10 gem rate for Riftbound cards?

86.7% as of September 8, 2026, on 29,285 PSA slabs across 177 entities. Cardlogs computes the gem rate as PSA 10s divided by total PSA population. A rate like this is a stock, so it moves slowly even when the new submissions grade differently. We also measure the flow. In the two weeks to September 8, the cards we tracked on both dates added 3,106 PSA slabs, and 2,694 of them were PSA 10s, a marginal gem rate of 86.7%. The week before September 8 gave 86.6%. New submissions are grading exactly like the old ones.

Entity counts are as of September 23; the September 8 rates cover the entities we had then, which is fewer for Vendetta (12) and Unleashed (29). The set ranking is the same as in August to within half a point. Origins promos, the launch-window prize-pack and event cards, still grade worst of the big groups at 84.1% and still carry the largest population, 34% of all Riftbound PSA slabs. Prize-pack cards are handed out loose at events, and by the time they reach a grader many have spent a tournament in a bag.

Which Riftbound cards have the highest PSA populations?

Blade Dancer (SFD-195a), the Chinese-language Spiritforged promo, still leads at 1,530 PSA slabs. Teemo, Scout (V.2 - Showcase) moved into second, passing Ahri, Alluring.

Blade Dancer also carries 900 CGC slabs, 41% of all CGC-graded Riftbound, and has no TCGplayer product page; its only Western price is a Cardmarket average. Chinese-market Riftbound remains a blind spot for every US tracker.

The same three Origins promos break the gem-rate pattern: Ahri, Alluring at 61%, Teemo, Swift Scout at 71% and Teemo, Scout at 76%, against 96–97% for the six prize-pack Showcases around them. Set averages hide this. A 61% gem rate means almost four in ten Ahri, Alluring submissions come back a 9 or lower.

How fast is the Riftbound graded population growing?

Faster than in August. Every figure below is measured on a fixed cohort, the cards with a reading on both dates, so a night that sampled fewer cards cannot pass for a decline:

In the August edition the 7-day window added 963 slabs (+4.3%). It now adds about 2,200 (+6.6%) on a larger base. According to Cardlogs population data, roughly 2,200 new Riftbound cards entered PSA holders in the week to September 23, 2026.

Growth arrives in batches rather than smoothly, because PSA certifies orders in waves and our population source picks them up in the nights that follow. On September 12 and September 16 alone the cohort gained about 1,200 and 1,050 slabs. A card with 50 PSA 10s today plausibly has 150 by the winter, and the price of a "pop 50" card usually reflects the 50.

Vendetta, eight weeks in

Vendetta released globally on July 31, 2026. On August 26 it had 96 PSA slabs across 11 entities; on September 23 it had about 880 across 24, a ninefold increase in four weeks. As of September 8 its slabs gemmed at 89.4%. Akali, Rogue Assassin (Signature) holds the set's largest population at 225.

Kennen, Heart of the Tempest (Signature) is the first Vendetta card with a PSA 10 market price, $1,922.62, which is 1.67x its $1,152.22 TCGplayer raw price. It stays out of the premium table because its raw price is not corroborated: Cardmarket reads €701.22, about $800, only 0.69x TCGplayer.

Is it worth grading a Riftbound card?

Median 2.88x the raw price on the 78 cards where the premium can be attributed cleanly, up from 42 cards and 2.69x in August. The middle half runs from 2.33x to 3.58x and the mean is 3.01x.

That is the complete list of the 78 cards that clear every screen, sorted by multiple. PSA 10 populations are as of September 8, the last night the per-grade counts updated. Two cards trade below their raw price: Baited Hook at 0.86x and Seal of Focus at 0.76x, where a $66.99 raw card sells for $51 in a PSA 10 holder. The top of the table rests on thin evidence in places. Time Warp's 6.74x comes from one $289.98 sale on August 6, against earlier PSA 10 sales of $95 to $180.

The median rose from 2.69x to 2.88x, but most of that is the sample. The table nearly doubled, mostly with Signature and Overnumbered cards priced between $50 and $1,500 raw, which sit in the 2x–4x band.

What we got wrong in August

We wrote that scarcity does not drive the premium, because the scarcest slabs carried the lowest multiples. On the larger sample that has reversed:

The August pattern rested on 14 cards in the lowest bucket, several of them cheap cards nobody bothered to submit. The September bucket holds 24, including the Unleashed Poros and Seals, which are scarce in PSA 10 and trade at roughly 3x raw. The honest summary is that population size and premium are only weakly related in Riftbound, in either direction, and a buyer should not pay extra for a "pop 12" label expecting the number to do the work.

The practical read has not changed: at roughly $20–30 all-in per card for grading and shipping, a 2.88x median only clears its cost on cards already worth about $50 raw.

Is a BGS Black Label worth more than a PSA 10?

Where a Black Label price exists, yes, by four to seven times. 217 Black Labels exist across the game as of September 8, 2.5% of BGS's Riftbound slabs, and 15 of the 47 cards holding one have a Black Label price on record. The four with the most Black Labels:

A Black Label needs four perfect subgrades, a harder standard than a PSA 10. Treat these as indicative: each Black Label price rests on a handful of sales from a single graded-price source, and 32 of the 47 cards holding a Black Label have no Black Label price at all. Dragon Ball, with far more Black Label prices on record, shows the multiple running both directions card by card.

Why we won't quote a premium for most Riftbound cards

144 of the 222 entities are excluded from the premium table. The reasons, in the order the screens run:

PSA 10 sales of a different printing. This screen is new in this edition. Riftbound prints many cards twice under one number, a base version and an asterisk version such as UNL-226 and UNL-226*, where the asterisk print is a Signature Overnumbered worth ten times more. Three base rows carried a PSA 10 price built from sales whose eBay titles name the asterisk print:

• Virtuoso (UNL-226): a $69.99 raw card with a $2,950 PSA 10 price, 42x. The only sale reads "#226* JHIN VIRTUOSO PSA 10".
• Vayne, Hunter (V.1 - Showcase): $193 raw, $4,050 PSA 10, 21x. The newest three sales all read "#223* VAYNE - HUNTER".
• Pridestalker (UNL-227): $104.99 raw, $630 PSA 10, 6x, from one sale titled "SIGNATURE OVERNUMBER RENGAR".

None of these three has a population record of its own, so the population screen could not catch them. The Vayne case gives itself away: its "PSA 10 price" is higher than the Signature's own, $3,078.43. The screen now reads the titles of the three newest PSA 10 sales and drops a card when most of them name another printing.

Sibling-print ambiguity. One graded population often covers several printings: a base card, an alternate art, an Overnumbered, a Signature, and prize-wall Metal versions. 28 of our 222 entities cover more than one catalog printing, and 23 of those contain printings whose raw prices differ by more than 1.5x. None of the 23 reaches the table. The widest spreads:

One PSA population covers the paper card, the Metal version and the event print, and those trade two orders of magnitude apart. A premium computed on that population compares a slab of one object to the raw price of another.

Venues disagreeing with each other. A raw price is only used when Cardmarket or the eBay sold median lands within 30% of TCGplayer, and when those two also agree with each other to within 1.5x. Bandle Tree is why the second rule exists: TCGplayer's sales for that product mix an oversized Jumbo promo with the standard card. That rule removes 12 cards this month.

Where this data comes from

Cardlogs aggregates prices nightly from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting) across 1,539 tracked Riftbound cards, plus PSA and BGS population data from GemRate and graded market prices covering PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC and TAG.

Population coverage is deliberately partial: we pull population data for cards above a $30 market price. 261 catalog rows carry a population record, so this report covers essentially the whole eligible corpus, but not bulk commons, which are graded rarely and priced in cents.

Five screens run before any number above is published:

1. De-duplication on population identity. A graded population belongs to a population record, not a catalog row, and one record often covers several printings. Every population figure counts each record once: 261 catalog rows collapse to 222 graded entities, and the PSA total falls from 38,315 to 36,216.
2. Prices are never deduplicated. Each printing has its own market, so every price in this article is read from the printing it belongs to.
3. Fixed-cohort growth. Population change is measured only across cards with readings on both dates. Cohort sizes are printed next to every growth figure.
4. Last clean ladder date for rates. Our per-grade counts (PSA 10s, Black Labels) have not updated since September 8, 2026 while totals have. Gem rates, Black Label counts and PSA 10 populations are therefore as of September 8; totals and growth as of September 23. The gap is in our feed, and this report will return to a single date once it is fixed.
5. Cross-venue corroboration, both ways, plus sale titles. A raw price is quoted only when Cardmarket (converted at the September 23 ECB rate, $1 = €0.87635) or the eBay sold median lands within 30% of TCGplayer and the two agree with each other to within 1.5x. A PSA 10 price is used only when its newest sales are of the same printing. The same corroboration screen runs in the monthly Riftbound market watch and our most-expensive Riftbound list.

Populations are as of September 23, 2026 (rates as of September 8); prices as of September 24, 2026. Graded prices come from a single source and cannot be cross-checked the way raw prices can, so treat a graded price with a small population behind it as an estimate.

What to watch next

Vendetta's population, about 880 slabs and one price, will produce the game's first premium data on a set graded from release. Radiance, scheduled for October 23, 2026, starts the cycle again. And the next edition will show whether the top Signature prices keep falling while roughly 2,000 slabs a week enter the population.
