Palworld ESS01 Card List & Release Date: Sleeve & Card Set Vol.1, All 10 Cards, Parallels and Price

Palworld Sleeve & Card Set Vol.1 (ESS01) is out in Japan and releases in English on October 16, 2026. All 10 cards, the first Japanese single prices, and how they compare with booster OSRs.

Palworld's Sleeve & Card Set Vol.1 (ESS01) is out in Japan and releases in English on October 16, 2026. The first Japanese single prices put every OSR parallel under the booster OSR median. On October 3, a day after the Japanese release, one large Japanese card shop listed the five OSR singles at ¥680 to ¥1,980, about $4 to $13, with Chillet's OSR on top and already sold out. Every set holds 75 sleeves and ten cards, two copies of each of five new Pals, and two of the ten are OSR parallels. Every card with its art is on the Cardlogs ESS01 set page.

Updated October 3, 2026 (Japanese release edition): first Japanese single prices, booster OSR comparison re-pulled, US listing re-checked. First published September 24.

When does Palworld ESS01 release?

October 16, 2026 in English. Bushiroad announced the set on June 12, 2026 with an October 2 date, then moved the English release to October 16 in a short notice on August 28 that cited "unforeseen circumstances." The English product page still reads October 16 as of October 3. Japan kept Friday, October 2, 2026, and the set is now on sale there.

ESS01 lands on the same day as Dragon Ball Fusion World's FB11 and two weeks before Palworld's second booster, Legends Awaken (EBP02), on October 30.

What is in the Sleeve & Card Set Vol.1?

One pack of 75 regular-size sleeves (about 92 × 67 mm) and ten cards. The ten cards are five types, two copies of each, and Bushiroad says all five are unique to this set, with new card text. The English page lists the featured colors as Red, Blue, Purple and Colorless.

Two of the ten cards are parallels. Bushiroad's English product image reads "5 types of 2 copies each, including 2 random parallel cards", and the Japanese page says two premium parallel cards are always included. So each set holds eight regular Rares and two OSRs. The English page text is vaguer ("Cards may be randomly replaced with parallel versions"), but the product image and the Japanese spec agree on the count.

Neither page says whether both parallels can be the same Pal, or whether the five Pals are equally likely. Both carry the usual note that the cards may be reprinted or redistributed later.

ESS01 card list: all 10 prints

Number Card Color Cost Power Rarity
ESS01-001 Grizzbolt – Raining Lightning Red 6 1000 R, OSR
ESS01-002 Chillet – Finishing Ice Blade Blue 6 1000 R, OSR
ESS01-003 Depresso – Serious at Midnight Purple 3 300 R, OSR
ESS01-004 Cattiva – Full of Confidence Colorless 3 300 R, OSR
ESS01-005 Quivern – Wyvern's Breath Colorless 6 1300 R, OSR

What the cards do, from the card text:

  • Grizzbolt deals 300 damage to every opposing Pal when it is deployed, a board sweep on a 6-cost body.
  • Chillet draws a card whenever the Pal battling it goes to the graveyard.
  • Depresso is Nocturnal: +300 power at night, and on deploy at night it gives a structure −500 durability until end of turn.
  • Cattiva gains +200 power at 5 souls and another +200 at 10.
  • Quivern is the biggest body at 1300 power, and deals 700 damage to a Pal or structure whenever it attacks.

Quivern is new to the game. Across the 268 cards in the palworldtcg.gg database, including the Legends Awaken cards revealed so far, the two ESS01 Quivern prints are the only ones. Grizzbolt previously appeared only in the Red & Blue Trial Deck.

How much does the Palworld Sleeve & Card Set cost?

¥4,400 a set in Japan, about $27.91, or ¥26,400 (about $167.44) for a box of six sets, per Bushiroad's Japanese product page, converted at the ECB rate of ¥157.67 per dollar from October 2, 2026. Bushiroad's English page states no US price.

The English market has not opened. TCGplayer's Palworld product line still had no Sleeve & Card Set listing on October 3, 2026: its groups cover the two boosters, the Trial Decks (two more, TD03 and TD04, are listed for December 18), promos and prototypes. Cardmarket still has no Palworld category. On September 24 an eBay search turned up one listing for the Japanese version, asking $79.90, 2.9 times the Japanese retail price; we did not re-run that search for this edition.

Cardlogs holds a set row and the ten preview prints for ESS01 but no priced cards yet. The set page switches to live prices once ESS01 cards start selling on eBay or appear on TCGplayer.

What do ESS01 cards cost in Japan?

The first prices come from Card Labo, a large Japanese card-shop chain, which listed all ten ESS01 singles in its online store by October 3, 2026, the day after the Japanese release. These are the shop's asking prices including tax, not sales, converted at ¥157.67 per dollar:

Card Rare (R) OSR parallel OSR in stock
SS01-001 Grizzbolt – Raining Lightning ¥280 ($1.78) ¥680 ($4.31) 1
SS01-002 Chillet – Finishing Ice Blade ¥580 ($3.68) ¥1,980 ($12.56) sold out
SS01-003 Depresso – Serious at Midnight ¥280 ($1.78) ¥780 ($4.95) 1
SS01-004 Cattiva – Full of Confidence ¥280 ($1.78) ¥680 ($4.31) 2
SS01-005 Quivern – Wyvern's Breath ¥580 ($3.68) ¥1,280 ($8.12) sold out

The Japanese set numbers drop the English "E" prefix: SS01-002 in Japan is ESS01-002 in English. Two things stand out. Chillet and Quivern, the two Pals we flagged in September as likely to price higher, are the two the shop marks up most, in both the Rare and the OSR version, and both OSRs had sold out of the shop's stock. And every OSR sits under $13: at this shop a set's two parallels come to less than the ¥4,400 set price even if both are Chillet. One shop on day two is a thin read, and English prices can differ.

What will the English ESS01 OSR cards be worth?

No English ESS01 card has sold yet. The closest comparison is the OSR tier in Palworld's first booster, Dawn of Palpagos, which now has two price readings in Cardlogs: eBay sold prices (via PriceCharting) and, since September 27, TCGplayer.

According to Cardlogs market data, the 15 English Dawn of Palpagos OSR cards sold at a median of $18.00 on eBay as of October 2, 2026, down from $20.00 on September 23, with Chillet – Dragon Whisperer OSR at the top at $47.00 (it was $54.67). TCGplayer prices the same 15 cards at a median of $9.95, with Chillet at $39.61.

Tier (Dawn of Palpagos, English) Cards priced eBay sold median eBay highest TCGplayer median TCGplayer highest
SR 30 $4.70 $14.99 $1.92 $6.86
OSR 15 $18.00 $47.00 $9.95 $39.61
SP 12 $113.94 $226.99 $97.50 $197.07
SSP 4 $395.38 $787.16 $372.50 $695.00

Supply is where the comparison breaks. In Dawn of Palpagos an OSR turns up in about 1 pack in 10.3, roughly one per 12-pack box, per the community tracker in our pull-rates study; the English box asked a $149.99 median on September 7. ESS01 prints two OSRs in every set. At the Japanese retail price that is about $13.95 per OSR, against well over $100 per OSR bought through booster boxes. In September we read that as ESS01 OSRs trading below the booster median once sets open. Japan's first shop prices agree, at $4 to $13 against an $18 booster median, but that is one shop on day two, and the English call stays open until English cards sell.

Chillet is the one to watch. It is the most expensive booster OSR on both eBay and TCGplayer, and it is the most expensive ESS01 OSR at the Japanese shop. Prints of the same Pal can also sit far apart: Grizzbolt's Trial Deck TSR reads $12.29 on TCGplayer and $27.50 on eBay as of October 2, while its TSP reads $435 and $425.

What we do not know yet

  • The US retail price. Bushiroad's English page still gives none as of October 3.
  • Whether both parallels in a set can be the same Pal, and whether the five Pals are equally likely.
  • The first English sold prices, from October 16. Japanese shop asking prices exist from October 3; Japanese sold prices are not yet in our data.

Each of these is re-checked at every edition of this guide.

Where this data comes from

Cardlogs aggregates Palworld prices nightly from eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting) and, since September 27, 2026, TCGplayer, plus PSA and BGS population data; Cardmarket carries no Palworld category. The ESS01 card list comes from the community card database that the Cardlogs ESS01 set page mirrors nightly, checked against Bushiroad's English and Japanese product pages, which also supply the dates, contents and Japanese price. The Japanese single prices are Card Labo's online-store asking prices including tax, read on October 3, 2026, converted at the October 2 ECB rate of ¥157.67 per dollar. The Dawn of Palpagos tier table is the October 2, 2026 nightly, English cards only. The TCGplayer listing check is a manual read of TCGplayer's Palworld catalog on October 3; the $79.90 eBay ask is a manual read from September 24.

Track ESS01 as it opens

The ESS01 set page carries all ten prints and turns into a price list the night the first cards sell. Cardlogs is on the web, iOS and Android; the Palworld home has the rest of the game, and the Palworld price guide covers where else to check a price.
