How is the Dragon Ball card market performing in July 2026?

The Dragon Ball market is up roughly 10% over the past month on both major retail marketplaces. According to Cardlogs market data, the Dragon Ball market index rose 10.5% on TCGplayer and 9.6% on Cardmarket in the 30 days to July 23, 2026, while the eBay sold-listing index gained just 0.8%.

The Cardlogs Market Cap Index is a chain-linked index (base 100 on May 28, 2026) that measures the day-over-day value change of the same cards, so newly listed cards can never inflate the trend. Note the index covers the whole Dragon Ball card game — both the classic Masters sets and Fusion World together.

The spread between the three sources is the honest story here. Retail ask-side prices (TCGplayer, Cardmarket) have been climbing hard for a month, while realized eBay sales are flat over 30 days and actually cooled 2.8% in the last week. When listings run ahead of sold prices, some of the rally is sellers repricing rather than buyers paying up — worth remembering before chasing a spike.

Which Fusion World cards are moving right now?

The single biggest Fusion World mover of the past month is the gold Energy Marker E-44 from Manga Booster 01, up 644% on TCGplayer to $2,499.99 as of July 24, 2026. Championship promos and the early Super Alternate Arts from FB01 are the other hot corners of the market.

Two caveats on the E-44 spike: its Cardmarket price is only €361 and its last eBay-side print is $775, so the $2,499.99 TCGplayer figure sits on a very thin, wide-spread market. Big percentage moves on low-liquidity chase pieces should always be read with that skepticism.

The Championship Son Goku FB04-129 remains the most expensive Fusion World card outright — $2,975 on TCGplayer, €3,489 on Cardmarket, and around $8,000 in PSA 10. What do Fusion World booster boxes cost right now?

Manga Booster 01 is the most expensive Fusion World sealed product at $1,668.68 per box, followed by Manga Booster 02 at $902.57 and Dual Evolution (FB09) at $495.62, as of July 24, 2026. Standard boosters from FB01–FB05 sit between $134 and $358.

Why are those Box EV numbers so much higher than the box price?

Because the EV is a mean, and Fusion World box means are dominated by a handful of serialized and manga-style chase cards with very long odds. According to Cardlogs market data, a Dual Evolution booster box costs $495.62 while its Cardlogs Box EV stands at $9,182 in TCGplayer prices as of July 24, 2026 — an 18.5x ratio that no typical box will actually return.

The skew is structural. Dual Evolution's EV carries the SCR Super Alternate Art Gogetas ($1,500–$2,103 each) and other top-slot pulls whose per-box hit probability is tiny. Manga Booster 01's $6,941 EV includes the $2,499.99 gold Energy Marker. Strip those tail outcomes and the median box opens far below the sticker price of the chase-heavy sets.

The honest framing: a high Box EV on these sets means "lottery with expensive tickets and a few enormous prizes," not "free money." What should collectors watch before FB11 Brightness of Hope?

FB11 Brightness of Hope releases September 18, 2026, and preorders are already live. It is the next mainline set after FB10 Cross Force (June 12, 2026, 123 cards), and set-release windows have historically been the highest-turnover periods for Fusion World singles.

Three things worth watching between now and September 18:

1. FB09 and FB10 chase prices. The Dual Evolution SCRs are the current "rookie grails" — Gogeta: GT FB09-123 is already up 177% in 30 days on Cardmarket. Cross Force's top card, Son Gohan: Childhood FB10-122, sits at $2,200 barely six weeks after release.
2. Older sealed. FB01 Awakened Pulse boxes at $358.43 are already more than 2.5x the cheapest current-wave boxes; each new set tends to renew attention on the first set's supply.
3. Championship promo season. The 2025–26 Finals Goku at $2,975 shows what tournament exclusives do once the event window closes.

Japanese Dragon Ball singles barely exist on Western marketplaces: they have no TCGplayer twin listing and near-zero Cardmarket liquidity, so most English-language trackers simply show nothing.
