Dragon Ball Fusion World Market Watch — September 2026: The Sprint Stalled, Story Booster 01 Gave Back 32%, and FB11 Moved to October

Fusion World market data for September 2026: Cardlogs index +3.9% on TCGplayer, −1.2% on eBay sold. August's calls graded, Story Booster 01 launch prices, Manga Booster 02 halves in Europe, FB11 now October 16.

The Dragon Ball card market stopped sprinting. According to Cardlogs market data, the Cardlogs Market Cap Index for Dragon Ball rose 3.9% on TCGplayer and 3.4% on Cardmarket in the 30 days to September 2, 2026, while the eBay sold-price index fell 1.2% — and every 7-day read sits within 0.2% of zero. A month ago the TCGplayer leg was running at +16.2%. The ask side did not come down to meet sales; it simply stopped rising.

This is the third edition of the monthly Fusion World market watch, and the first that can grade its predecessor. August made four dated calls. Below, each one is checked against what happened — including one headline number that turned out never to have existed — before the new data: a full launch read on Story Booster 01, a European sealed price that halved while the US price did not move a dollar, and a corrected FB11 release date.

How did the Dragon Ball card market perform in August 2026?

It went flat on every source. All figures as of September 2, 2026:

The Cardlogs Market Cap Index is a chain-linked index (base 100 on May 28, 2026) that measures day-over-day value change of the same cards, so newly listed cards never inflate the trend. It covers the whole Dragon Ball card game — classic Masters sets and Fusion World together. The Cardmarket leg needs a note: it fell 5.6% in a single night on August 3 (121.04 to 114.27) and has recovered 3.4% since, which is why its 30-day read is positive while its level is below August's.

The number that matters is the deceleration. TCGplayer went from +16.2% to +3.9% in one month, and its 7-day read is +0.1%. The index peaked at 128.50 on September 1 and closed at 127.98. According to Cardlogs market data, every nightly close of the TCGplayer index for Dragon Ball since August 13, 2026 has landed between 127.26 and 128.50.

How did August's calls hold up?

Four calls, graded against the September 2 data. Two were wrong, one was half right, and one was a headline that the daily price log never recorded.

The lesson we are carrying forward is the same one the One Piece edition learned two days ago from a different card: a gap between two venues tells you they disagree, not which one is right, and it closes from whichever side had less evidence behind it. The E-48 saga below is the cleanest example this month.

Is the Fusion World market actually moving, or just the Energy Markers?

Mostly the Energy Markers, plus one price band. Across 1,058 Fusion World cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta, the median card moved exactly 0.00%, with 25.1% up, 37.2% down and 37.6% unchanged. As of September 2, 2026:

Two things to read there. First, the $100-plus band is the only healthy one: 59.1% of those cards rose, and 55 of 171 gained 25% or more. That is the opposite profile from One Piece, where the same band was 29.8% up. Second, the top is frozen the same way in both games — 17 of the 21 Fusion World cards above $1,000 printed 0.00% over a month.

The gainers are concentrated in one product line. Among the 58 Energy Markers priced above $100, the median 30-day move is +13.9% and 74.1% rose; only four fell. Take the markers out and the set-level picture is a slow bleed: Cross Force −29.7% median, Raging Roar −5.5%, Awakened Pulse −4.7%, Ultra Limit −2.5%, Blazing Aura −1.1%. Manga Booster 01 and 02, Dual Evolution and Saiyan's Pride all sit at a 0.00% median. According to Cardlogs market data, no Fusion World booster set with at least 20 tracked cards had a positive median 30-day move as of September 2, 2026; the only positive median belongs to the Giblet starter deck's 20 cards, at +4.8%.

Which Fusion World cards are moving right now?

The corroborated board is Energy Markers and starter-deck holos again — but this month the sold prices led. A card ranks below only when Cardmarket (converted at the day's ECB rate, $1 = €0.8637) or the eBay sold median lands within 30% of its TCGplayer price, and its TCGplayer price is backed by its own daily series. All prices as of September 2, 2026:

E-81 is the cleanest move on the board: $304.51 on July 28, $838.51 by August 27, $780.88 today, with eBay within 7% of it and Cardmarket within 18%. Frieza repriced to $599.99 at the start of August and has held every night since.

August said half the starter-deck rally was asks. The sales arrived first. Bulma FS09-14 was excluded last month at $143.58 with both venues 37–52% below. Its eBay sold median printed $143.58 on August 8 — the ask only matched it on August 13. Majin Buu Kid FS10-15 ran the same sequence four days earlier: eBay $125 on August 4, TCGplayer $125 on August 13. In both cases the sale led and the listing followed.

Excluded as single-venue moves: Energy Marker (Gold) E01-01 posts the biggest number on the board, +251.1% to $146.67, with Cardmarket at 0.18x and eBay at 0.34x. Vegeta FB04-051 (+116.3% to $299.99) has both venues below 0.30x. E-58 (+96.2% to $733.33) prints 0.28x on Cardmarket and $999.99 in eBay sales — 1.36x, just outside the band on the high side. And E-34, which ranked last month, fails the new series check: its price reads $200 but its own weekly TCGplayer series still prints $84.63. One relist, not a repricing.

Corroborated fallers. The silver Energy Marker E-42 is down 36.8% to $299.94 with eBay matching to the cent; Cross Force's regular Son Gohan: Childhood alt-art holo lost another 31.7% to $195 (eBay $209); the serialized Son Goku Mini FB04-012 fell 19.7% to $1,157.86 (eBay $1,400); and Blazing Aura's Vegito SAA Holo FB02-139 is off 18.7% to $700, eBay $700.

What happened to the E-48 Energy Marker — and the Cross Force pair?

E-48 did not repeat E-44. August framed E-48 as carrying the same shape E-44 had before its 64% correction: a $2,400 ask with Cardmarket at 0.20x and eBay at 0.67x. Five weeks later the ask has not moved a dollar — $2,400 every night since July 25 — while Cardmarket rose 94% toward it, from €410.09 to €796.02, and eBay sales drifted from $1,600 to $1,500. The gap closed from the European side, not the ask side, and it is still far from closed: 0.38x and 0.62x. Whatever resolves this, it will not be a four-day collapse like E-44's.

E-44 itself, meanwhile, stopped being the cautionary tale. It rose 17.8% on August 3, from $894.99 to $1,053.99, and has sat there since. Its eBay median is still $775 — 0.74x, inside the band by four points.

The Cross Force pair split. Cell FB10-123 went from $1,800 to $900 on August 11 with its eBay sold median making the same move a day later ($1,786 to $900), then recovered to $999.50 on August 24 with sales at $1,098.99 and Cardmarket at €1,150. Three venues, all repriced, all within 33% of each other — a real correction, then a real bounce.

Son Gohan: Childhood FB10-122 did the opposite. Its TCGplayer price still reads $2,200, but that figure has not been re-printed in our daily log since before July 20. Underneath it, Cardmarket went €1,499 to €950 to €764.43 and the eBay sold median went $1,525 to $920. As of September 2, 2026, the two venues that are actually trading agree with each other (0.40x and 0.42x of the ask) and disagree with the number TCGplayer is still showing. Last month it ranked; this month it is excluded — and a $2,200 ask with no print behind it is exactly what the series check exists to catch.

Which Fusion World cards are the most expensive right now?

The top of the market did not trade. Corroborated, series-backed, as of September 2, 2026:

Every price in the #1 row is frozen. FB04-129 has printed $5,000 on TCGplayer every night since August 7, and its Cardmarket (€3,488.63) and eBay ($2,904.44) legs have not changed on any of the 44 nights we hold since July 20. The rank rests on the Cardmarket leg at 0.81x — and a listing that has not moved in six weeks is an ask, not a trade. According to Cardlogs market data, the most expensive corroborated Fusion World card has not produced a new number on any of three marketplaces across the 27 nights to September 2, 2026. FB09-122's eBay leg went the other way: its sold median jumped to $3,499.99 on August 25, 1.78x the ask, with Cardmarket at exactly 1.00x holding the rank.

Excluded above $1,000, with gaps: E-48 ($2,400; 0.38x / 0.62x), Son Gohan FB10-122 ($2,200; 0.40x / 0.42x, no series), Gogeta: BR SAA FB09-121 ($1,785.76; Cardmarket 1.62x, eBay 0.08x), Son Goku SAA FB09-025 ($1,750; 0.07x / 0.45x), Energy Marker E-90 ($1,500; Cardmarket 2.99x, eBay 1.67x — every venue moved up this month and they still span 3x), Son Gohan FB01-140 ($1,723.13; eBay 1.51x — sales above the ask, second month running) and Piccolo SAA SB02-043 ($1,150; its eBay median dropped from $1,005 to $127.51 on August 31, a mislabelled sale in a thin sample, not a price).

How did Story Booster 01 launch?

The first new Fusion World product since Cross Force released on August 21, 2026, and it entered the market 32% below its own preorder high. As of September 2, 2026:

The US ask and the US sales agree almost exactly, which is rare for a sealed product two weeks old; Europe is repricing upward from a lower start. This is the same round-trip shape One Piece's OP-17 box ran into its street date the same week — the preorder premium came off before release, not after.

The singles fell faster than the box. The Cardlogs board covers 147 English Story Booster 01 cards, 145 priced on TCGplayer, 141 on Cardmarket and all 147 with an eBay sold price. The median TCGplayer print is $4.99, and among the 58 cards carrying a 7-day delta the median move was −23.5%, with 50 down and 6 up. The top of the set as of September 2:

Note the order: the set's two SCRs are not its two most expensive cards. An alternate-art Leader and a reprinted Broly Leader sit above them, each with an eBay sold median within 3% of the ask. Son Goten's Leader is the fastest faller in the set at −40.7% over seven days. Every one of the five is corroborated on its eBay leg.

What do Fusion World booster boxes cost right now?

The four-figure boxes held; the interesting number is in Europe. As of September 2, 2026:

Manga Booster 02 halved in Europe and did not move in the US. Our daily log has the English box on Cardmarket at €1,046.18 on July 20, €726.36 on August 1, €514.03 on August 20 and €425.98 on September 2 — a 59% decline over six weeks, falling on 11 separate nights, so this is a trend and not a snapshot. Over the same period the TCGplayer price moved between $899.17 and $913.22 and closed at $906.66. Converted, the European box is $493.19: the US ask is now 2.1 times the European price for the same sealed product, the widest two-venue gap on any box Cardlogs tracks. Something has to give, and the eBay sold median of $849.57 says it is not the US buyers yet.

Blazing Aura is the one 2024 box that kept the pre-release rotation going: it has risen on 11 separate nights since July 20, from $157.37 to $194.97, with no down day. Its Cardmarket leg agrees (+6.9%).

Two starter decks worth a line: Shallot at $92.59 (+6.8%) and Giblet at $73.11 (+3.6%) remain the cheapest way into the alt-art holos that took two slots on this month's movers table with sales confirming.

Box EV is withheld this month. Cardlogs Box EV — the expected market value of the cards pulled from one sealed box, recomputed nightly from live singles prices and pull rates — is not published for any Fusion World set in this edition. Our own model's Fusion World outputs moved in a way the singles market cannot explain (Manga Booster 01 read $7,062 on August 2 and $669.58 on September 2, while the cards inside it rose), which means the figure is measuring our pipeline, not the market. When does FB11 Brightness of Hope actually release?

October 16, 2026 — not September 18. Bandai's official product page for FB11, checked on September 3, 2026, lists the release date as October 16, 2026, with a $4.99 pack price, 12 cards per pack and 123 card types. Our July and August editions both carried September 18, and several retailer preorder pages still say "September 2026"; the official listing is the one to plan around. Bandai's products page also lists FB12 Reach the God for winter 2026 and two new starter decks (FS13, FS14) with no date.

On price: as of September 2, 2026, no FB11 sealed product has a tracked market price on TCGplayer, Cardmarket or eBay in our nightly feeds. TCGplayer has created product pages for the pack and the case, but neither carries a market price yet; the retailer preorder pages we checked list the 24-pack box at $119.99 and out of stock. That is a retail list price, not a market price, and it does not enter our data. August's promise that this edition would "pick up FB11 sealed" is therefore not met — the market that would supply the number does not exist yet, and with the date moved six weeks out, it is the October edition's job.

Does Cardlogs track Japanese Fusion World prices?

Yes, and the language gap moved in two directions this month. On Cardmarket as of September 2, 2026, the Japanese Manga Booster 01 box is €631.24 against €1,486.47 for English (42% of the English price; 36% last month), Japanese Awakened Pulse is €47.72 against €189.43 (25%, unchanged), and the new Japanese Story Booster 01 is €260 against €430.72 (60%). Manga Booster 02 is the exception: Japanese €358.39 against English €425.98 — 84%, up from 46% in August, because the English box collapsed to meet it. When a language premium disappears, it is worth asking which side moved; here the answer is entirely the English price.

On singles, Cardlogs ingests Japanese Dragon Ball pricing nightly from Cardrush, one of Japan's largest TCG retailers, with native JPY prices and Japanese card scans — coverage Western marketplaces do not have.

What should collectors watch before the October edition?

Four things, each checkable against our nightly data.

First, where Story Booster 01 singles settle. A median of −23.5% in a week is the launch discount coming off; whether the alt-art Leaders keep outranking the SCRs a month in will say whether that ordering is a launch quirk or the set's real hierarchy.

Second, any new number on FB04-129. Three venues, 27 nights, zero movement on the most expensive card in the game. The first venue to reprint — up or down — is the story.

Third, whether the US follows Europe on Manga Booster 02. A $906.66 ask against a €425.98 European price is a 2.1x gap. Either US sales start clearing below the ask or European sellers reprice up. The eBay sold median ($849.57) is the tiebreaker to watch.

Fourth, the first FB11 market price. October 16 is the release; preorder listings on tracked venues usually appear a few weeks before. When one prints, it enters our feed the same night.

Cardlogs aggregates prices nightly from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting) — 11,569 Dragon Ball cards priced on TCGplayer, 9,066 on Cardmarket and 12,396 on the eBay side as of September 2, 2026 — plus PSA and BGS population data. Market-level moves use the Cardlogs Market Cap Index, a chain-linked index comparing only same-card pairs day over day, so per-source coverage differs and new cards never count as growth. Ranked cards pass two screens: a second marketplace (Cardmarket at the day's ECB rate of €0.8637 per $1, or the eBay sold median) must print within 30% of the TCGplayer price, and that TCGplayer price must be backed by the card's own daily series — cards failing either are shown with their gaps. Breadth figures cover the 1,058 Fusion World cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta. The FB11 release date is from Bandai's official product listing as of September 3, 2026. That closes the September edition. The number to carry into October is the one that did not move: the ask side of this market stopped rising, the sold side never rose, and the most expensive card in the game has not printed a new price in four weeks.
