Dragon Ball Fusion World Market Watch — October 2026: A Flat Month, Story Booster 01 Singles Halved, and Last Month's Top 5 Retracted
Fusion World market data for October 2026: the Cardlogs index moved −0.07% in 30 days, Story Booster 01 singles fell a median 48%, the #1 card finally sold, and none of September's top 5 passes our new sale check.
The Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World market went sideways in September 2026. According to Cardlogs market data, the Dragon Ball Market Cap Index moved −0.07% on TCGplayer in the 30 days to October 1, rose 1.15% on Cardmarket and rose 1.27% on eBay sold prices. The typical Fusion World card moved 0.00%. The action was underneath: Story Booster 01's singles roughly halved, and the most expensive card in the game finally sold ungraded.
This is the fourth edition of the monthly Fusion World market watch, and it carries a retraction. All five cards we ranked as the most expensive last month fail the check we now rank by: one had not printed a TCGplayer price since May, two had no raw eBay sale since June or July, and the #1 card had not traded at all. The new rule, the same one the One Piece October edition introduced yesterday, is explained below.
How did the Fusion World market perform in September 2026?
It did not move. All figures as of the October 1, 2026 nightly:
| Source | Index level | 7-day | 30-day | Since Sep 2 edition | Tracked market cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TCGplayer | 128.41 | −0.02% | −0.07% | +0.34% (from 127.98) | $211,188 across 11,546 cards |
| Cardmarket | 119.74 | −0.09% | +1.15% | +1.30% (from 118.20) | €170,561 across 9,292 cards |
| eBay (via PriceCharting) | 105.24 | −1.16% | +1.27% | −0.18% (from 105.43) | $304,616 across 12,176 cards |
The Cardlogs Market Cap Index is a chain-linked index (base 100 on May 28, 2026) that measures day-over-day value change of the same cards, so newly listed cards never count as growth. It covers the whole Dragon Ball card game, classic Masters sets and Fusion World together. Two notes on the legs. The Cardmarket reading for October 1 is identical to September 30, which is what a re-published Cardmarket price file looks like; we hold that leg at its September 30 close, which happens to be the same number. The eBay 30-day figure starts from an unusually low night (103.91 on September 1); measured from last edition's reading it is −0.18%.
According to Cardlogs market data, every nightly close of the TCGplayer index for Dragon Ball between September 3 and October 1, 2026 landed between 127.39 and 128.98, a band of 1.25%. A month ago the story was a sprint that had stalled. This month there was nothing left to stall. The gap between the asking side and the sold side did not close either: TCGplayer sits 23.2 points above the eBay index, against 22.6 a month ago.
How did September's calls hold up?
Four things to watch, graded against the October 1 data.
| September's call | What happened | Grade |
|---|---|---|
| Where Story Booster 01 singles settle, and whether its alt-art Leaders keep outranking its SCRs | They did not settle; they kept falling, a median −48% on matched daily series. The ordering held at the top: the Vegeta alt-art Leader ST01-053 is the set's most expensive card and the only one of its top five that rose (+14.8% to $264), while both SCRs lost 40–48% | Right on the ordering, wrong to expect a floor |
| "Any new number on FB04-129" — the first venue to reprint is the story | TCGplayer printed one: a $4,500 sale on September 24, 10% under the $5,000 sale of March 28. Cardmarket has still not moved since July 16 | Resolved, downward |
| Whether the US follows Europe down on Manga Booster 02 | It did: −11.5% to $802.03. Then Cardmarket's trend more than doubled in a single night | Right, then overtaken |
| The first FB11 market price | Printed before this edition went out: $402.38 on TCGplayer in late September, $403.40 now. Cardmarket listed the product on September 28 but our feed has not linked it yet | Met on TCGplayer, open on Cardmarket |
Why did last month's top 5 drop out?
Because none of them traded the way the table implied. Since this edition, a card ranks only if its TCGplayer price printed in our daily log on the ranking date AND its newest raw eBay sale since August 2 (a sold title naming no grader) lands within 30% of that price. Cardmarket is shown but no longer ranks a card on its own, because several of its top-end trends have not changed in months. Here is what that does to September's list:
| September rank | Card | September price | What we found |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Son Goku — Championship 2025–26 Finals (FB04-129) | $5,000 | No ungraded sale between April 5 and September 24, when it sold once on TCGplayer at $4,500. Cardmarket €3,488.63, unchanged every night since July 16 |
| 2 | SSB Kaio-Ken Son Goku — European Serial (BT1-111) | $2,777.77 | Retracted. Its TCGplayer price last printed on May 27 and its newest raw eBay sale is May 3. We ranked a four-month-old number |
| 3 | Gogeta: GT — SAA (FB09-123) | $2,103.28 | Now $2,000. Newest raw eBay sale July 13 ($2,300); Cardmarket €4,683.33, 2.6 times the ask |
| 4 | Gogeta — SAA (FB09-122) | $1,966.50 | Same price for 97 consecutive nights. Last TCGplayer sale June 4, last raw eBay sale June 11 |
| 5 | Gogeta: BR — SAA Leader (FB09-001) | $1,569.67 | Still trades, but lower: newest raw eBay sale $930 on September 19, 0.60x of today's $1,539.67 |
The broader picture is the useful part. According to Cardlogs market data, of the 73 most expensive Fusion World cards on TCGplayer as of October 1, 2026, only five pass the new check. Thirty-seven are Energy Markers, which we name but never rank because the eBay feed for gold markers mixes in sales of the base marker. Nine have no TCGplayer print on the ranking date. Fifteen have a live price but no raw eBay sale at all since August 2. Seven have a recent sale that misses by more than 30%, several at a tenth of the ask or less, which is almost always a different printing sold under the same listing name rather than a real price.
Which Fusion World cards are the most expensive right now?
Ranked on the new rule, as of October 1, 2026 (Cardmarket at the day's ECB rate, $1 = €0.88511):
| # | Card | Set | TCGplayer | Newest raw eBay sale | Ratio | Cardmarket | PSA 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Son Gohan: Childhood (FB01-140) | Manga Booster 02 | $2,000 | $2,500 · Sep 10 | 1.25 | — | $3,209.66 |
| 2 | Son Goku — SAA (FB09-025) | Dual Evolution | $1,462.50 | $1,062.60 · Aug 16 | 0.73 | €882.29 | $1,642.35 |
| 3 | Son Goten — SAA (FB08-121) | Saiyan's Pride | $1,003.75 | $723 · Sep 3 | 0.72 | €917.95 | $1,413.79 |
| 4 | Cell — SAA Holo (FB10-123) | Cross Force | $999.43 | $800 · Aug 16 | 0.80 | €963.60 | $1,375 |
| 5 | Son Goku: Childhood — Alt Art (SB01-053) | Manga Booster 01 | $375 | $375 · Sep 26 | 1.00 | €531.19 | $821.59 |
Read the gap between #4 and #5: there is no ranked card between $999 and $375. Everything priced in that range is either an Energy Marker, a stale ask, or a card with no recent raw sale. Son Gohan FB01-140 was excluded last month with sales running 1.51x above its ask; the ask has since risen from $1,723.13 to $2,000 and the two now sit within 25%. SB01-053 is the most liquid card on the list, with 14 raw eBay sales since August 2 and the newest three at $375, $320 and $400.
FB04-129 is still the most expensive card in the game. It simply does not rank under a rule that needs an eBay sale. Its September 24 TCGplayer sale is its only ungraded sale in our data since April 5 (graded copies do trade: a PSA 10 sold for $8,555 on September 23), and the Cardlogs Aggregate price of $4,148.75 still gives full weight to a Cardmarket trend that has not changed in 78 nights. The honest reading is one sale at $4,500.
Is the Fusion World market actually moving?
Not at the median. Across 1,153 Fusion World cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta, the median card moved 0.00%, with 26.3% up, 36.6% down and 37.1% unchanged, almost exactly September's split. What changed is the $100-plus band, which was the one healthy tier a month ago. As of October 1, 2026:
| Price band | Cards | Median 30-day | Share up | Share unchanged | Sept. share up |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| All ≥ $1 | 1,153 | 0.00% | 26.3% | 37.1% | 25.1% |
| ≥ $100 | 175 | 0.00% | 45.1% | 21.1% | 59.1% |
| ≥ $500 | 54 | 0.00% | 42.6% | 37.0% | 44.0% |
| ≥ $1,000 | 21 | 0.00% | 33.3% | 38.1% | 9.5% |
The Energy Marker rally also cooled. Among the 56 Energy Markers priced above $100, the median 30-day move is +6.7% with 31 up and 10 down, against +13.9% and 74.1% up last month. Outside the markers, two sets carry the whole decline: Story Booster 01 at a −36.2% median and Cross Force at −10.2%. Raging Roar, at −0.35%, is the only other booster set with at least 20 tracked cards below zero; the rest sit at 0.00%.
One caution on any 30-day number this month. On September 13 Cardlogs changed how it reads thin TCGplayer markets: a price built from recent sales now needs at least three sales inside 20 days, with no single sale carrying more than 40% of the weight, and cards that miss that bar carry TCGplayer's own market price. Of the 648 Fusion World cards with a daily series on both September 2 and October 1, 345 repriced that night, 62 of them above $100. That is our method moving, not the market, and it is why four of last month's gainers appear as fallers below.
Which Fusion World cards moved in September?
Measured on each card's own daily TCGplayer series from September 2 to October 1, 2026, cards above $100, Energy Markers excluded. A card is listed only if Cardmarket or the eBay sold median sits within 30% of its current price and its move did not come from the September 13 method night:
| Card | Set | Sep 2 | Oct 1 | Move | Second venue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vegito — Alt Art (FB04-130) | Fusion World Promos | $1,002.50 | $1,404.99 | +40.1% | eBay $1,300 |
| Gotenks — Limited Pack Manga 02 (FS02-03) | Special Tournament Promo | $150 | $200.61 | +33.7% | eBay $194.82 |
| Master Roshi — Alt Art (SB01-050) | Manga Booster 01 | $109.90 | $144.09 | +31.1% | eBay $135 · CM €98.94 |
| Son Goku — Tournament Pack Manga (FP-059) | Fusion World Promos | $587.85 | $759.28 | +29.2% | CM €618.58 |
| Son Goku — Alt Art (SB01-023) | Manga Booster 01 | $224.99 | $271.69 | +20.8% | eBay $254.99 · CM €275.69 |
| Broly — Alt Art Leader (FB08-073) | Story Booster 01 | $225.32 | $130 | −42.3% | eBay $150 |
| Bulma — Alt Art Holo (FS09-14) | Starter Deck: Shallot | $143.58 | $75.30 | −47.6% | CM €79.37 |
| Vegito — Alt Art SCR (ST01-070) | Story Booster 01 | $169.90 | $87.99 | −48.2% | eBay $99 |
The gainers are Manga-style alternate arts and tournament promos; the fallers are the newest product and a starter-deck holo. Bulma FS09-14 completes a round trip: it rose 120.6% into last month's table, led by sales, and has now given all of it back with Cardmarket agreeing.
Last month's gainers, re-checked. Of the ten cards on September's movers table, seven are lower, one is unchanged and two (both gold Energy Markers, E-81 and E-84) are higher. Four of the seven fallers repriced on the September 13 method night rather than in the market: Dragon Ball // Shenron (Gold) FB07-097 ($345 to $185.68), the 1st Anniversary Event Winner Son Goku FB05-053 ($579.99 to $326.99), Majin Buu: Kid FS10-15 ($125 to $74.16) and the Majin Buu: Kid tournament promo FB04-094 ($351 to $251.68). Frieza SAA FB05-120 has printed $599.99 for 58 nights in a row, which is an ask nobody has tested.
How did Story Booster 01 settle after launch?
It split in two. As of October 1, 2026 the sealed box rose and the singles fell:
| Sep 2 | Oct 1 | Move | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Box — TCGplayer | $404.27 | $461.46 | +14.1% |
| Box — Cardmarket | €430.72 | €382.50 | −11.2% |
| Singles — median, 30 cards with a daily series on both dates | −48.4% (29 of 30 down) | ||
| Singles — median 30-day delta, 71 cards | −36.2% (44 down, 14 up) |
A month ago Europe priced the box 23% above the US. Converted at today's rate, Cardmarket's €382.50 is $432.15, so the US now sits about 7% above Europe. The premium crossed the Atlantic in four weeks.
The top of the set, as of October 1, 2026:
| Card | Rarity | Sep 2 | Oct 1 | eBay sold | Cardmarket |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vegeta — Alt Art (ST01-053) | Leader | $230 | $264 | $264 | €272.87 |
| Vegeta — Alt Art (ST01-071) | SCR | $217 | $130 | $193.50 | €203.36 |
| Broly — Alt Art (FB08-073) | Leader (reprint) | $225.32 | $130 | $150 | €263.14 |
| Vegito — Alt Art (ST01-070) | SCR | $169.90 | $87.99 | $99 | €145.69 |
| Son Goten — Alt Art (ST01-001) | Leader | $94.95 | $60 | $68 | €125.43 |
The Vegeta Leader is the only card in the set's top five that went up, and Cardmarket agrees at €272.87 (about $308). The two SCRs fell 40–48%, and Cardmarket now prices both well above TCGplayer; Vegeta ST01-071's eBay median sits 1.49x above its ask. When a new set's singles halve while its box rises, the market is pricing the sealed product as a thing to hold and the singles as a thing to open into. That is a launch pattern, and patterns can reverse.
What do Fusion World booster boxes cost right now?
As of October 1, 2026:
| Set | Box (TCGplayer) | vs Sep 2 | Cardmarket | EN release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manga Booster 01 | $1,731 | +0.9% | €1,425.87 | Jun 27, 2025 |
| Manga Booster 02 | $802.03 | −11.5% | €636.76 | Nov 14, 2025 |
| Fusion World 1st Anniversary Set Bundle | $530.62 | +1.7% | — | Feb 14, 2024 |
| Story Booster 01 | $461.46 | +14.1% | €382.50 | Aug 21, 2026 |
| Dual Evolution (FB09) | $452.09 | −5.2% | €269.32 | Mar 13, 2026 |
| Brightness of Hope (FB11) | $403.40 (presale) | new | not linked yet | Oct 16, 2026 |
| Awakened Pulse (FB01) | $350.83 | −3.9% | €189.87 | Feb 23, 2024 |
| Saiyan's Pride (FB08) | $260.07 | +7.8% | €154.50 | Dec 12, 2025 |
| Cross Force (FB10) | $232.21 | +9.0% | €189.52 | Jun 12, 2026 |
| Blazing Aura (FB02) | $203.33 | +4.3% | €95.23 | May 10, 2024 |
Manga Booster 02: the US came down, then Europe jumped. The TCGplayer price fell from $906.66 on September 2 to $880.14 on September 10, $832.19 on September 20, $811.99 on September 25 and $802.03 on October 1, rising on only one night in between. Its eBay sold median followed, $849.57 to $799.97. Cardmarket kept falling at first, to €287.40 on September 25, which briefly made the US price 2.5 times the European one. Then on September 26 Cardmarket's trend read €627.14, up 118% in a single night, and it reads €636.76 now. One night of a Cardmarket trend is not yet a repricing; if it holds, the 2.1x gap we reported last month is down to about 1.1x, closed from both sides at once.
Cross Force is the quiet riser among recent sets, +9.0% in the US and €189.52 in Europe, even while its singles fell a median 10.2%. Box EV stays withheld for every Fusion World set this month: our model's outputs for this game still move in ways the singles market does not, and a number we cannot stand behind does not get printed. The Riftbound Box EV breakdown explains the metric where it works.
What is the FB11 Brightness of Hope market doing before release?
Holding still at about $403. The English box is $403.40 on TCGplayer as of October 1, 2026, up 0.25% from its first nightly read of $402.38, with presale boxes trading around $405 in late September. Street date is October 16, 2026 per Bandai. Cardmarket created six FB11 products on September 28 under a misspelled expansion name; our nightly feed has not linked the set to them yet, so FB11 has no Cardmarket price in this edition. The full card list, the Japanese price ladder and the release-event promos are in the FB11 card list and price guide, which updates weekly to street date; the next set, FB12, has its own guide.
Does Cardlogs track Japanese Fusion World prices?
Yes, and the Japanese discount widened on two of three boxes this month. On Cardmarket as of October 1, 2026, the Japanese Manga Booster 01 box is €684.38 against €1,425.87 for English (48% of the English price; 42% last month). Japanese Story Booster 01 is €161.73 against €382.50 (42%; 60% last month), after a 37.8% fall in the Japanese box over 30 days. Manga Booster 02 is €402.88 against €636.76 (63%), down from 84% last month because the English trend jumped. Cardlogs also ingests Japanese Dragon Ball singles nightly from Cardrush, one of Japan's largest card retailers, in native JPY.
What should collectors watch before the November edition?
Four things, each an event our nightly data will show.
First, a second sale on FB04-129. One ungraded sale at $4,500 on TCGplayer ended a silence of nearly six months. A second print on any venue tells us whether $4,500 is the price or one buyer.
Second, whether Manga Booster 02's Cardmarket jump holds. €636.76 after €287.40 is either a real repricing or a thin market's trend reset. A week of prints near €630, or a fall back under €400, settles it.
Third, a Story Booster 01 single that turns up. Twenty-nine of 30 tracked singles fell. The first one to rise on a sale, not an ask, marks the floor.
Fourth, FB11's first English single prices. Street date is October 16. The first FB11 cards with a TCGplayer market price enter our feed the night they appear.
For the same monthly read on other games, see the One Piece Market Watch and the Riftbound Market Watch. Last month's edition is archived as the September Fusion World Market Watch.
Where this data comes from
Cardlogs aggregates prices nightly from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting): 11,546 Dragon Ball cards priced on TCGplayer, 9,292 on Cardmarket and 12,176 on the eBay side as of October 1, 2026, plus PSA and BGS population data. Market-level moves use the Cardlogs Market Cap Index, a chain-linked index comparing only same-card pairs day over day, so new cards never count as growth. The ranked table uses a two-part rule: the card's TCGplayer price must have printed in our daily log on October 1, 2026, and its newest raw eBay sale since August 2 (a sold listing whose title names no grading company) must land within 30% of that price. Cardmarket is converted at the day's ECB rate of €0.88511 per $1 and shown, but does not rank a card on its own. Gold Energy Markers are named but never ranked. Movers are measured on each card's own daily TCGplayer series between September 2 and October 1, with cards that repriced on the September 13 method change set aside. Breadth figures cover the 1,153 Fusion World cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta. All figures are as of the October 1, 2026 nightly; the live pages update every night.
That closes the October edition. The market did not move; the cards we were treating as its top had mostly stopped trading, and saying so is the correction this edition exists to make. Every card, box and index in this article is tracked live on Cardlogs, on web, iOS and Android, including the full most-expensive Fusion World ranking.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Dragon Ball Fusion World market up or down in October 2026?
Flat. According to Cardlogs market data, the Dragon Ball Market Cap Index moved −0.07% on TCGplayer in the 30 days to October 1, 2026, and every nightly close since September 3 landed between 127.39 and 128.98, a 1.25% band. Cardmarket rose 1.15% and eBay sold prices rose 1.27% over the same window. The median Fusion World card moved 0.00%.
What is the most expensive Fusion World card right now?
The Son Goku Championship 2025–2026 Finals promo (FB04-129). It sold ungraded on TCGplayer for $4,500 on September 24, 2026, its first ungraded sale in our ledger since April 5 and 10% under a $5,000 TCGplayer sale on March 28; its TCGplayer price now reads $4,500. Among cards with both a live TCGplayer price and a raw eBay sale within 30% of it since August 2, the most expensive is Son Gohan: Childhood FB01-140 at $2,000, backed by a $2,500 eBay sale on September 10.
How much is a Story Booster 01 box in October 2026?
$461.46 on TCGplayer as of October 1, 2026, up 14.1% from $404.27 on September 2, while Cardmarket fell from €430.72 to €382.50. A month ago Europe priced the box 23% above the US; it is now about 7% below it. Story Booster 01 singles went the other way, with a median fall of 48% across the 30 cards that have a daily TCGplayer series on both dates.
Did the Manga Booster 02 price gap close?
Partly, and from both sides. The TCGplayer price fell 11.5%, from $906.66 on September 2 to $802.03 on October 1, 2026, and closed lower on every night but one in between (September 13, the night of a Cardlogs method change). Cardmarket's trend first kept sliding to €287.40 on September 25, then more than doubled overnight to €627.14 on September 26 and reads €636.76 now. The US price was 2.1 times Europe's a month ago and is about 1.1 times now.
Why did some Fusion World prices drop on September 13, 2026?
Cardlogs changed how it reads thin TCGplayer markets that night. A price built from recent sales now needs at least three sales inside 20 days, with no single sale carrying more than 40% of the weight; cards that miss that bar carry TCGplayer's own market price. 345 of the 648 Fusion World cards with a daily series on both dates repriced that night, 62 of them above $100.
