Riftbound Market Watch — September 2026: Europe Kept Rallying, Sold Prices Stalled, and August's Movers Gave It Back

Riftbound market data, September 2026: Cardmarket index +18.6%, eBay sold prices flat since Aug 16, August's calls graded, Vendetta at five weeks, Radiance preorders.

Riftbound — the League of Legends TCG by Riot Games — is still the fastest-rising card market Cardlogs tracks, but only on one continent. According to Cardlogs market data, the Cardlogs Market Cap Index for Riftbound rose 18.6% on Cardmarket in the 30 days to September 3, 2026, climbing on 27 of 31 nights, while the eBay sold-price index has printed the same level since August 16. The TCGplayer leg reads +24.1%, and we are not going to quote it as a market move: 20.7 of those points landed in a single night in our own series, for a reason we explain below.

This is the second edition of the monthly Riftbound market watch, built like our One Piece and Fusion World series: every number comes from our nightly multi-marketplace feeds, every ranked card passes the cross-venue corroboration screen, and — new this month — we grade what the August edition told you to watch.

How is the Riftbound market performing in September 2026?

Europe kept going, the sold side stopped, and the US ask side is roughly flat once you remove one night. As of September 3, 2026:

The Cardlogs Market Cap Index is a chain-linked index (base 100 on May 28, 2026) that measures day-over-day value change of the same cards, so newly listed cards never inflate the trend.

* Why we are not quoting the TCGplayer number. On August 13 our daily TCGplayer price log switched from TCGplayer's lagging market-price aggregate to the live sold-based estimate our card pages already showed. The two series differ most in Riftbound's Signature tier, so the index chain-linked that switch as a single +20.7% night (120.13 to 145.00) with no market move behind it. Take that night out and the TCGplayer leg rose about 3% over the month: +3.1% from August 4 to August 12, then −0.3% from August 13 to September 3. Our own data-quality ledger recorded the step the morning it happened and it ages out of the 30-day window around September 12; until then any "Riftbound +24% on TCGplayer" figure derived from our index is the step, not the market. We would rather explain it than print it.

The shape underneath is the one August told you to watch for. The Cardmarket index rose on 27 of the last 31 nights and fell on two. The eBay sold index went from 169.46 on August 16 to 169.49 on September 3 — eighteen nights, no net move — after rising 42% in the four weeks before that. Asks are still climbing in Europe; realized sales have stopped confirming them.

How did August's calls hold up?

August closed with three things to watch. Two resolved the way we described, and the third is stuck on our side of the fence.

The movers table is where August looks worst, and it deserves its own line. Eight of the nine cards we ranked in August are lower today, median −15.4%. The Origins promo-slot printings that took four of the top six slots led the way down: Jinx, Rebel (V.2 Showcase) went from $295 to $215.31 (−27%), the Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox promo from $395.45 to $320 (−19%), Teemo, Swift Scout (V.1 Rare) from $104.99 to $57.99 (−45%). Warwick, Hunter — the +509% move we excluded because no second venue agreed — fell 47% to $63.59, where Cardmarket and eBay now agree with it. The screen worked in both directions: the excluded card collapsed, and the ranked ones gave back a chunk of a real rally.

Which Riftbound cards are moving right now?

Unleashed's Signature tier caught up with Origins', and that is most of the story. Because the August 13 series step inflates the 30-day figures on exactly the cards that moved most, this month's table is built differently: each card's move is measured between the price we recorded on August 3 and the price on September 3, on the same cards, so the step cannot appear in it. A card ranks only when Cardmarket (converted at the day's ECB rate, $1 = €0.861) or the eBay sold median lands within 30% of its TCGplayer price:

All prices as of September 3, 2026. Six of the ten are Unleashed cards, four of them Signatures — a tier that in August traded at a fraction of the Origins equivalents; Bashful Bloom, Green Father and Wuju Master were $450–$475 cards a month ago and are $650–$850 now, with Cardmarket within 30% on every one. Teemo - Strategist is the one to read carefully: it did not climb to $1,400, it climbed to $1,649.99 by August 10 and came back down 15% in the last week.

Excluded as single-venue moves: Virtuoso (UNL-226*) posts the biggest number on the board, $614.99 to $1,345 (+119%), with Cardmarket at 0.51x and eBay at 0.65x. The two largest Signature cards in Origins doubled on paper — Kai'Sa - Daughter of the Void $3,197.49 to $6,399.99, Ahri - Nine-Tailed Fox $3,800 to $6,498.69 — and both venues sit at roughly half of those asks (0.43x/0.49x and 0.51x/0.63x). Neither has printed a new TCGplayer number since August 13, and TCGplayer's own weekly sold average for the same cards reads $3,085 and $3,474. They are asks with a single sale cluster behind them, not prices. Blue Sentinel (+239% to $599.99) misses the band by a hair at 0.69x on Cardmarket.

Corroborated fallers. Vendetta's two biggest launch asks, which we declined to rank in August, resolved exactly where Cardmarket said they would: Lux, Crownguard (SP) from $348.97 to $45 (−87%, Cardmarket €32.55) and Zed, From the Shadows from $253.64 to $64.81 (−74%, Cardmarket €67.95). Warwick, Hunter is down 47% to $63.59 with eBay at $66. And one Signature card fell for a different reason: Vayne - Hunter (Signature) reads $1,000 today, down 47% in a month and 56% in a week, while its own last eBay sale printed $2,289.95 and Cardmarket asks €1,580.62. That is a relisting below the card's own sale, not a price — the same shape Viktor's Signature took in mid-August before it was relisted at exactly its sale price — and it stays out of every table here.

Is the Riftbound market actually moving, or just the Signature tier?

Two sets are up, two are down, and the top is not frozen the way One Piece's and Fusion World's are. Across 566 Riftbound cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta, the median move is 0.00%, with 45.4% up, 47.3% down and only 7.2% unchanged. As of September 3, 2026:

Compare that with the other two games this month: 65% of One Piece cards above $1,000 printed exactly 0.00%, and 81% of Fusion World's. Riftbound's top tier is 48% unchanged — a young market where expensive cards still trade. On the series basis, 56 of the 150 cards above $100 gained 25% or more — a count the August 13 step inflates for Signature cards — and exactly one lost 25% or more.

By set, the month split cleanly. Spiritforged (median +11.3%, 60% of cards up) and Unleashed (+9.8%, 64% up) rose; Origins (−13.3%) and Vendetta (−11.5% among cards above $1) fell. The Origins promo bucket, August's engine, is flat at −1.9%. By printing type, Alt Art cards are −12.8% and Epics −4.4%, Showcase cards are flat, and the Signed Showcase tier is the one band the series step distorts: its 30-day series median reads +52%, but measured card-by-card between our August 3 and September 3 snapshots, the 38 Signature cards present in both moved a median +10.0%, with 30 of 38 up. According to Cardlogs market data, that +10% on a matched basis is the honest Signature-tier number for the month; the +52% is an artifact.

What is the most expensive Riftbound card right now?

The three highest asks all fail the screen, so the top of the corroborated list changed hands — to a Vendetta card. Corroborated, as of September 3, 2026:

Akali ranks on its Cardmarket leg (0.75x) and has no eBay leg at all, for the coverage reason described above; its 92 PSA slabs after five weeks are already a quarter of Baron Nashor's. Baron Nashor, August's most expensive corroborated card at $2,999, eased to $2,800 with both venues within 11%. Jinx - Loose Cannon is the cleanest price on the board: TCGplayer $2,300, eBay sold $2,300, Cardmarket €1,840.90.

Above all of them, three asks with nothing behind them. Ahri - Inquisitive (Signature) asks $6,899.99 with Cardmarket at €3,955.87 (0.67x) and eBay at $3,500 (0.51x); Ahri - Nine-Tailed Fox asks $6,498.69 (0.51x / 0.63x); Kai'Sa asks $6,399.99 (0.43x / 0.49x). Five weeks ago Nine-Tailed Fox and Kai'Sa ranked #1 and #2 at $3,800 and $3,197.49 with eBay at parity. The asks doubled; the sales did not follow. Behind those sit the metal promos — Teemo, Swift Scout (Prize Wall) at $4,400, Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox (Best Of) at $4,232.98, Irelia, Blade Dancer (Prize Wall) at $3,500 — which have no Cardmarket or eBay price at all and so cannot be ranked by any rule we use.

The Signature tier as a whole, which our T1 Signature drawing coverage uses as the reference class: 32 priced cards, median ask $1,226, floor $419.97 — the floor is now a Vendetta card, Renekton, Butcher of the Sands (Signature), down 25% on the month with Cardmarket agreeing at 0.76x. What do Riftbound booster boxes cost right now?

Every current box is more expensive than a month ago except Origins, and the European discount narrowed on the two newest sets. As of September 3, 2026:

Cardlogs Box EV is the expected market value of the cards pulled from one sealed booster box, recomputed nightly from live singles prices and pull rates. The Unleashed window closed the way August said it would, and then some: the box went from $135.89 to $196.44 — $170.36 on August 28 and $191.86 three nights later — while its two chase cards net moved about 3%, so EV fell from 134% to 86% of cost on TCGplayer. The Cardmarket leg disagrees (116%: €143.06 EV on a €122.89 box) because the European box lagged the US one. Origins is now the box at parity, and the only one where both legs say so (101% and 108%). The Vendetta box is the quiet mover: +24.3% to $175.85 and the case from $871.52 on August 15 to $1,084.34, with the eBay leg still missing for the reason above. Cardmarket's Vendetta box rose only 6% to €132.61, so a set that launched at exact US–EU parity in August now carries a 12% European discount — while Spiritforged's discount shrank from 36% to 15% as Cardmarket's box rose 42% on the month. Unleashed is the outlier at 27% cheaper in Europe.

The collector-sealed corner reversed. August's two hardest movers, both +126% in a month, gave it back: the Worlds Bundle 2025 is $1,104.07 (−6.7% since August 3) with Cardmarket down 30% to €567.22, and the Arcane Box Set is $530.94 (−11.6%) with Cardmarket at €442.01 (−19%). Both fell on Cardmarket on almost every night we hold since August 5. The near-perfect cross-venue agreement we noted on the Arcane set in August is gone in one direction only: Europe repriced down, the US mostly held.

Where is Vendetta five weeks after launch?

The bulk fell to nothing and the top held. All 281 Vendetta cards (246 main set, 35 promos) are in our nightly feeds — 270 priced on TCGplayer, 260 on Cardmarket, 0 on eBay. The median TCGplayer price across the set is $0.15, and the median 30-day move across all 240 cards carrying one is −30.4%, with 76% down. Raise the bar and the picture flips: among the 53 cards above $10 the median is −1.3%, and among the 42 above $50 it is +0.8%, with 48% down. Launch-week money left the commons; it did not leave the chase slots.

August's corroborated top four gave back roughly a sixth each: Irelia, Fervent $169.95 to $139.99, Jinx, Demolitionist $135.44 to $111.99, Gangplank, Naval $119.99 to $98.87 — while Rengar, Trophy Hunter went the other way, $124 to $162.42. Swain, Visionary, the $1,999 pre-launch ask, is $81.79. The corroborated top of the set outside the Signature tier as of September 3 is the Overnumbered printings: Kennen $262 (Cardmarket 1.06x), Jayce $214.62 (1.08x), Mel $185 (1.19x), Zed $181.93 (1.05x). The Akali Overnumbered asks $579.99 but Cardmarket sits at 0.68x, so it waits.

The slabs arrived faster than the sales data. When we published the graded report on August 26, Vendetta carried 106 PSA slabs across 13 entities. As of September 3 it carries roughly 290 PSA and 85 BGS slabs after deduplicating one shared record — Akali's Signature alone has 92 PSA and 28 BGS — and still no Vendetta card has a PSA 10 market price on record. The population is growing about 2.7x faster than we can price it.

When does Radiance release, and what is already priced?

October 23, 2026, and Europe is already quoting it. Riot's product roadmap, checked on September 4, 2026, lists Radiance — 180 cards, 66 of them Showcase — with previews starting at the Los Angeles Riftbound Qualifier on September 25 and running through October 9, Pre-Rift events October 16–22, and a global release on October 23. The product line is booster packs and displays, Showdown Decks (Seraphine vs. Evelynn), a Vault bundle and Pre-Rift kits. The set after it, Legacy, is dated January 29, 2027.

On price: as of September 3, 2026, the Radiance booster box has a Cardmarket preorder price of €134.57, first recorded on August 17 at €134.88 and within a euro of that every night since — about $156 at the day's rate, within 2% of Vendetta's European box (€132.61). A Radiance case first printed on Cardmarket at €745.99 on August 23 and sits at €835.42. TCGplayer has no tracked Radiance product in our feed yet. August said Radiance had "no tracked listings"; that was true on August 3 and stopped being true on August 17, which is why we now check a set's preorder state against the feed rather than carrying the previous edition's sentence forward.

One more product in the catalog with no price: the T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition. Our nightly feed carries its ten cards (five base, five signed) and a set row dated September 2, matching Riot's shipping date, and Cardmarket has opened a product page — but neither venue prints a price for any of the ten as of September 3. Riot's roadmap also lists a T1 Worlds Champion Player Bundle drawing for October, consistent with the rolling-wave allocation we covered in August. When a T1 card takes its first price anywhere, the most-expensive guide will carry it.

What should collectors watch before the October edition?

Four things, each checkable against our nightly data.

First, the first new eBay sold print on the index. The sold leg has sat at 169.5 since August 16 while Cardmarket added 6.5%. A sold-index print above 172 says the buyers caught up; a print below 166 says the Europe rally is asks.

Second, a new TCGplayer number on any of the three $6,400+ Signature asks. None has printed since August 13. The first fresh print — up or down — tells you whether the doubling was a sale or a listing.

Third, Vendetta's first eBay-priced card. It requires our PriceCharting mapping for the set to exist, which it does not today; we will say in October whether that changed, and grade this item against ourselves if it did not.

Fourth, Radiance's first TCGplayer preorder price. Cardmarket has quoted the box at €134.57 for three weeks. The day TCGplayer opens the product, the US–EU gap on a set nobody has opened becomes the first Radiance number worth writing about.

Where this data comes from

Cardlogs aggregates prices nightly from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting) — 1,461 Riftbound cards priced on TCGplayer, 1,382 on Cardmarket and 941 on the eBay side as of September 3, 2026 — plus PSA and BGS population data. Market-level moves use the Cardlogs Market Cap Index, a chain-linked index comparing only same-card pairs day over day, so per-source coverage differs and new cards never count as growth. The TCGplayer leg carries a disclosed non-market step on August 13, 2026 (link factor 1.207), when the logged series moved from TCGplayer's aggregate market price to the live sold-based estimate; it ages out of the 30-day window around September 12. Ranked cards pass the cross-venue corroboration screen: a second marketplace (Cardmarket at the day's ECB rate of €0.861 per $1, or the eBay sold median) must print within 30% of the TCGplayer price, and failing cards are shown with their gaps. Movers are measured between our August 3 and September 3 price snapshots on the same cards, so the series step cannot enter the table. Breadth figures cover the 566 Riftbound cards priced above $1 with a 30-day TCGplayer delta. Radiance dates are from Riot's official product roadmap as checked on September 4, 2026. That closes the September edition. The number to carry into October: Cardmarket up on 27 of 31 nights while sold prices printed the same level for eighteen — a rally that is currently being quoted, not paid.
