Dragon Ball Fusion World Market Watch — August 2026: Listings Sprint +16.2% While eBay Sold Prices Turn Negative

Fusion World market data for August 2026: Cardlogs index +16.2% on TCGplayer but −0.6% on eBay sold prices. Corroborated movers, box EV and the FB11 countdown.

The Dragon Ball card market split in two this month. According to Cardlogs market data, the Cardlogs Market Cap Index for Dragon Ball rose 16.2% on TCGplayer and 9.6% on Cardmarket in the 30 days to August 1, 2026 — while the eBay sold-listing index fell 0.6%, its first negative 30-day read since our series began on May 28. Listing prices are sprinting; realized sales just stopped following.

This is the second edition of the monthly Fusion World market watch (July's edition is here), built the same way: every number below comes from our nightly multi-marketplace feeds, and every ranked card passes the cross-venue corroboration screen introduced last month.

How is the Dragon Ball card market performing in August 2026?

The ask side accelerated and the sold side stalled out. A month ago the 30-day reads were +12.8% on TCGplayer, +8.8% on Cardmarket and +1.1% on eBay sales; today they are +16.2%, +9.6% and −0.6%. Both listing-side indexes sped up, and the sales-side index crossed zero going down.

The Cardlogs Market Cap Index is a chain-linked index (base 100 on May 28, 2026) that measures day-over-day value change of the same cards, so newly listed cards can never inflate the trend. The index covers the whole Dragon Ball card game — classic Masters sets and Fusion World together.

Last month we wrote that when listings run ahead of sold prices, part of the rally is sellers repricing rather than buyers paying up. That gap has now widened into the widest spread of the series: the TCGplayer index sits 18.3 points above the eBay sold index. One of two things closes a spread like this — sales catching up, or asks coming back down. The E-44 Energy Marker already showed us which way that resolves when a single card does it; this is the same question asked market-wide.

Which Fusion World cards are moving right now?

The biggest corroborated mover of the month is the Bulma/Son Goku: Childhood Winner promo (SB01-057), up 193% on TCGplayer to $1,485 as of August 2, 2026, with Cardmarket at €1,003 behind it. Around it, the gold Energy Marker inserts keep running — and a new corner joined the board: the alternate-art holos exclusive to the Shallot and Giblet starter decks.

A card ranks below only when Cardmarket (converted at the day's ECB rate, $1 = €0.87) or the eBay sold median lands within 30% of its TCGplayer price:

Excluded as single-venue moves: the gold Energy Marker E-48 again posts the biggest number on the board — +774% to $2,400 — while Cardmarket prices it at €410 (0.20x) and the last eBay sales print $1,600 (0.67x). Two of the four hot starter-deck exclusives fail the same way: Bulma FS09-14 (+227% to $143.58, both venues 37–52% below) and Shallet FS10-08 (+202% to $143.99, both venues 38–85% below). The other two — the Giblet deck's Broly and Majin Buu: Kid FS10-15 (+206% to $125, eBay $89) — pass. Half the starter-deck rally is confirmed, half is still just asks.

The down moves are corroborated too. The silver Energy Marker E-60 fell 38% to $135.99 (eBay $134.50 agrees to the dollar), Son Goku FB10-001 is off 31% to $136.48, and Cross Force's regular Son Gohan: Childhood alt-art holo dropped 27% to $234.94 with both venues in band. Mid-tier Cross Force is cooling even as its two chase SCRs hold the set's top slots.

Where do the marketplaces disagree the most?

Three of Fusion World's biggest names currently have no defensible single price at all — the venues are too far apart. As of August 2, 2026:

FB09-123 is the sharpest case: it led our Cardmarket movers table last month at +177% and holds a €4,683 price there, yet the US ask is well under half that and the last eBay prints are in the hundreds. A card that ranked fourth in July's top-five panel is now unrankable under our own rule — which is the rule working, not the card failing. On the Cardmarket side, the biggest 30-day move is Son Goku FS09-06 at +412% to €392, another Shallot-deck exclusive — but its TCGplayer price is $85, so treat that as a European move until a second venue confirms it.

What happened to the E-44 Energy Marker after the July correction?

It held. E-44 closed July's edition as the cautionary tale — a $2,499.99 ask that fell 64% in four days to meet its own sales. Five weeks later the price still sits at $894.99, unchanged since the correction, and the card now passes the corroboration screen via its $775 eBay sold median (0.87x). The ask that converged to the market stayed converged.

Its sibling E-48 is now running the same setup at larger scale: a $2,400 ask, +774% on the month, with Cardmarket at 0.20x and eBay sales at 0.67x. According to Cardlogs market data, that is the exact profile E-44 carried in late July — the largest percentage move on the board and the least supported. We are not predicting the same resolution; we are pointing at the same shape.

What do Fusion World booster boxes cost right now?

The four-figure sealed products went flat this month — the movement migrated down-shelf. As of August 2, 2026:

The pattern is clean: Manga Booster 01 added 4% and Manga Booster 02 one percent, while the three cheapest 2024 products — Blazing Aura (+18%), Ultra Limit (+19%) and the 1st Anniversary Bundle (+17%) — posted the biggest sealed moves of the month. With FB11 seven weeks out, attention is rotating to the oldest, cheapest supply, the classic pre-release pattern we flagged in July.

Worth a note alongside the sealed table: the Shallot and Giblet starter decks still list at $86.71 and $70.56 while their exclusive alt-art holos trade at $125–$350 — the decks are the cheapest exposure to the month's newest chase corner.

Cardlogs Box EV is the expected market value of the cards pulled from one sealed booster box, recomputed nightly from live singles prices and pull rates. The usual warning applies double for Fusion World: a Dual Evolution EV of $9,110 against a $498.50 box is an 18x ratio carried almost entirely by the SCR chase slots, and this month adds a second caveat — several of the gold Energy Markers inside Manga Booster 01's EV fail the corroboration screen, so that EV leans on ask prices no sale confirms. What should collectors watch before FB11 Brightness of Hope?

FB11 releases September 18, 2026 — and as of August 2, 2026, no FB11 sealed listing has appeared on TCGplayer or Cardmarket in our nightly feeds. There is no tracked preorder market price yet; when the listings open, FB11 sealed and its Box EV will enter our nightly data automatically, and we will cover it in the September edition.

Until then, three things worth watching:

1. The Cross Force SCR pair. Son Gohan: Childhood FB10-122 at $2,200 and Cell FB10-123 at $1,800 both hold top-six Fusion World slots with all three venues in band — while the set's mid-tier alt-arts fall 27–31%. Chase strength plus mid-tier weakness is the shape of a set finding its floor before the next one lands.
2. Older sealed momentum. Blazing Aura and Ultra Limit boxes just moved ~18–19% in a month. If the pre-FB11 rotation continues, FB01's $360.43 is the ceiling to watch — it is the set with the least remaining supply.
3. Championship promo season. The 2025–26 Finals Goku held exactly flat at $2,975 this month while the FB06-097 Gogeta added another 123% to $1,500 — tournament exclusives keep repricing well after their event windows close.

Does Cardlogs track Japanese Fusion World prices?

Yes — and this month the JP-vs-EN gap has hard numbers. On Cardmarket, where both language prints list side by side, a Japanese Manga Booster 01 box trades at €561 against €1,555 for the English print — 36% of the English price for the same product. Japanese Manga Booster 02 sits at €332 vs €726 (46%), and Japanese Awakened Pulse at €50 vs €195 (25%). As of August 2, 2026, the same Fusion World box in Japanese costs a quarter to a half of its English twin on the same marketplace.

On the singles side, Cardlogs ingests Japanese Dragon Ball pricing nightly from Cardrush, one of Japan's largest TCG retailers, with native JPY prices and Japanese card scans — coverage Western marketplaces simply do not have, since JP singles have no TCGplayer twin and near-zero Cardmarket liquidity. Where this data comes from

Cardlogs aggregates prices nightly from TCGplayer, Cardmarket and eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting) — 11,093 Dragon Ball cards priced on TCGplayer, 8,812 on Cardmarket and 12,091 on the eBay side as of August 1, 2026 — plus PSA and BGS population data. Market-level moves use the Cardlogs Market Cap Index, a chain-linked index comparing only same-card pairs day over day, so per-source coverage differs and new cards never count as growth. Ranked cards pass the cross-venue corroboration screen: a second marketplace (Cardmarket at the day's ECB rate of €0.87 per $1, or the eBay sold median) must print within 30% of the TCGplayer price, and failing cards are shown with their gaps. Index figures are as of August 1, 2026 and card figures as of August 2, 2026; the live pages update every night.

That closes the August edition.
